How to take your Parlanti Boot Measurements

Parlanti boot Measurements

Let us help you take your Parlanti Boot Measurements: A Step-by-Step Guide

Finding the perfect pair of tall riding boots is about more than just style—it’s about support, comfort, and performance in the saddle. Parlanti Passion boots are known worldwide for their handcrafted quality, sleek Italian design, and semi-custom fit that hugs your legs like a second skin. But to get the best results, it’s crucial to measure your legs properly before ordering.

At Oakridge Equestrian, we want your new boots to fit beautifully from day one. Whether you’re a show jumper, dressage rider, or all-round competitor, here’s our simple, step-by-step guide on how to take your Parlanti Boot Measurements.

Please note this guide is for Parlanti Passion boots not Parlanti Roma boots which is the full custom range.

🧐 Why Proper Measurement Matters

Accurate leg measurements are essential to ensure your boots fit comfortably and perform well. Riding boots that are too tight can cause discomfort, restrict circulation, and reduce flexibility, while boots that are too loose can slide, rub, or affect your posture and stability in the stirrups.

Parlanti offers a wide range of height and calf width combinations, which means your boots can feel semi-custom—but only if your measurements are correct.

We recommend a snug fit with your Parlanti boot measurements as the quality leather and elastic at the zip provide a good amount of stretch.

📏 What You’ll Need:

  • A soft tailor’s measuring tape

  • A friend or family member to assist (recommended)

  • A notebook or your phone to record the results

  • The breeches and socks you typically ride in

Pro tip: Always take measurements in centimetres, as this is the standard used by Parlanti.

Parlanti Boot Measurements for the Miami Pro, Denver, Pro KBoots and Kent

📐 Step 1: Measure Your Calf Circumference

  1. Sit or stand with your leg slightly bent at about a 15–20° angle.

  2. Find the widest part of your calf and wrap the measuring tape around it. You may need to shift the tape up and down the leg to find the widest part.

  3. Keep the tape snug, but not tight—enough to stay in place without pressing into your skin.

  4. Record this measurement in centimetres.

💡 Why it matters: This measurement ensures your boots will zip up comfortably without gaping or squeezing your calf.

📏 Step 2: Measure Your Boot Height

  1. Stand with your foot flat on the ground and a slight bend in your knee.

  2. Measure from the floor (heel) to the crease just below your kneecap, following the contour of the back of your leg.

  3. Record the result.

💡 Fit tip: Parlanti boots often drop 1–2 cm after break-in, so a slightly taller fit initially is ideal for that polished competition look.

🧦 Step 3: Factor in Riding Apparel

Take measurements wearing the socks or breeches you normally ride in. Thicker winter socks can add 0.5–1 cm to your calf circumference, which can make a big difference in close-contact boots like Parlanti.

Also, consider your discipline:

  • Show jumping/eventing riders may prefer slightly more flexibility around the calf.

  • Denver Riding boots

These Parlanti Boot Measurements are used for the KBoot, Denver Pro and Miami Pro

Dressage riders often favour a snugger, taller fit for support and elegance.

✅ Pro Fit Tips for Parlanti Passion Boots

  • Measure both legs—most people have one calf slightly larger than the other.

  • Measure at the end of the day, when your legs are more likely to be slightly swollen—this helps avoid boots feeling too tight later.

  • If in doubt, round down slightly for calf width and up slightly for height (to account for drop).

Sizing Charts

There are different size charts for fitting different models. The Miami Pro, Denver Pro, Kboot and Kent all use the standard Parlanti Boot Measurements. However, in the Kboot you do drop down a foot size which decreases the calf width slightly. For example if you are normally a 46 Euro you would drop into the 45 foot size. The Evo Dressage boot and Parlanti Passion chaps also have their own charts but a measured in the same manner, keep in mind that the Evo Dressage boots are make of a stiff leather and will drop only a very small amount.
